Microsoft almost sued a woman who invented a device to improve speech in children because of the name

Microsoft sues UK housewife KateMackenzie, who came up with a device for

Fight dyslexia in children.

The woman called her invention Word Windows -this is an accurate representation of its functionality. Dyslexia is a selective impairment of the ability to master reading and writing skills while maintaining a general ability to learn.

Mackenzie's device isa school ruler with a small window in the case and a special holder. The device closes all the words in a line on the page of the book, except for the one on which the hole in the body falls. This small hole breaks up long words into syllables for easier reading.

But Microsoft started the lawsuit not because ofdevices, but because of the name. In the world, the word "Windows" is associated with the family of the popular operating system. As a result, the parties came to an agreement after the author of the device agreed to change the name to Word Window. But whether Microsoft initiates a new process because of the word "Word" is not yet known.
