Microsoft's Cloud Gaming Console Release Is Postponed – It's All About Price

Microsoft CEO Phill Spencer, in an interview with The Verge, explained why the company decided to

postpone the release of the cloud gaming console, which is now known by the codename Keystone.

What is known

"It turned out to be more expensive than we wanted it to be when we built it with the hardware that was inside," Spencer said, discussing a prototype console that had previously surfaced on a shelf in his office."We decided to focus this team's efforts on developing a smart TV streaming app."

From the beginning, the company focused on the price of$99-$129, but Spencer says that the price of the console and services from the company will approach the cost of the Xbox Series S, which would encourage buyers to buy a full version of the console.

The set of such a console is completely identical to the set of a regular console, including the controller, although the console will interact with any controllers from Blutoothe.
