Microsoft's ninth generation of game consoleswill come with the Xbox Series X (formerly Xbox Scarlett) - the company's most powerful and fastest console. The new Xbox now looks even more like a box. Xbox Series X is made in the form of a parallelepiped, resembling a small computer system unit. On the front panel, Microsoft made a power button and a slot for disks. On the top left a grille for air exhaust.

Xbox Series X comes with a new pointing deviceXbox Wireless Controller. According to the company, the controller’s design was redesigned in order to increase convenience. At the same time, the main difference from the usual "elite gamepad" is the Share button.

According to Microsoft, the Xbox Series X runs onAMD processor based on Zen 2 and RDNA architecture. The company promises hardware support for ray tracing and Variable Rate Shading (VRS) technologies with Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), which will help bring the quality of gameplay to a new level. Instead of a classic hard drive, the Xbox Series X got an SSD. Backward compatibility with Xbox One and other previous-generation consoles also remained.

To show the power of the new Xbox, Microsoftreleased the trailer for Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, which was the first announced game for Series X. According to Microsoft, the console will cope with the launch of games in 4K at 60 frames per second and the possibility of increasing to 120 frames.

The Xbox Series X will be released during the New Year season of 2020, as well as the closest rival to the console - PlayStation 5.
