Microsoft has learned to detect dangerous microorganisms before they cause epidemics

Today at the Ignite 2020 conference, Microsoft presented new technologies and services in the field of business and

innovation. Among them, a system was shown to detect dangerous microorganisms before they cause epidemics.

The system was created within the Microsoft Premonition. For its development, scientific research has been carried out for five years. The system can become an important step towards predicting mass diseases.

Microsoft said in a press release that developmenttested on various types of mosquitoes. The system is capable of detecting potentially pathogenic microorganisms. When used extensively, it can prevent outbreaks of infectious diseases.

In the coming weeks, Microsoft will provide access toMicrosoft Premonition to a large number of partners: Johns Hopkins University, Vanderbilt University, University of Pittsburgh and the University of Washington Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation.
