Microsoft is adding a new volume mixer in Windows 11, almost the same as in EarTrumpet

Microsoft is adding features to Windows 11 that are very similar to those from the third-party audio tool EarTrumpet.

Windows Insiders have noticed that a new mixer can be included in the latest build of the systemVolume, which provides quick access to switching audio outputs and controlling the volume of programs directly from the taskbar.

The same functions are performed by the EarTrumpet program, which was created five years agoIt's ironic that at the time it was called "the program that Microsoft should have created for Windows 10."

EarTrumpet is being developed by engineersMicrosoft's Dave Amenta and Rafael Rivera, who tweeted this week: “Holy crap, Microsoft is catching up with EarTrumpet”.
