Microsoft is preparing a new version of Surface Pro X with SQ2 chip and in Platinum colors

Microsoft introduced the Surface Pro X hybrid tablet last October, and is now preparing to release it

updated version.

What is known

Our colleagues from Windows spoke about thisCentral. The new product will not differ much from the current model. The main innovation will be the proprietary Microsoft SQ2 processor. There is no information about the chip yet, but presumably the SoC will be based on the new Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 platform. It boasts improved performance, as well as support for Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1.

Another change for the updated Surface Pro X will be the new Platinum colorway. For comparison, the current tablet model is only sold in black.

By the way, according to information from Windows Central, Microsoft also plans to release an inexpensive Surface Laptop in the near future, codenamed Sparti.
