Microsoft Surface Pro X weighs only 760 grams and is equipped with a Qualcomm processor with AI accelerator

Immediately after the announcement of Surface Pro 7, Microsoft introduced the productive hybrid tablet Microsoft Surface Pro X.

The device is based on ARM architecture and, in addition to its small size, boasts the most powerful Qualcomm processor.

What a beast

Snapdragon 8cx chip installed in Surface Pro Xwas presented in December last year, but there is relatively little information about it. Microsoft's tablet is the first serial device with this processor, and specifically for Surface Qualcomm has created a special version of the chip called Surface SQ1. It is known that an AI accelerator is built into the platform and according to preliminary tests it gives performance at the Intel Core i5-8250U level.

In addition, the Surface SQ1 is characterized by good energy efficiency - only 7 watts, that is, the performance per watt is three times higher than that of the Surface Pro 6.

Tablet itself

Microsoft Surface Pro X Looks SkinnySurface Pro 7. Its thickness is 5.3 mm and its weight is 1.68 pounds (760 grams). The hybrid received a 13-inch PixelSense display with a resolution of 2880 × 1920, which corresponds to a pixel density of 267 PPI. The device is compatible with the Surface Slim Pen, which can be charged in a special connector above the keyboard. In addition, thanks to the ARM architecture, the Surface Pro X supports LTE connectivity.
