Microsoft Teams will get a performance improvement next month

Personal sources told The Verge that Microsoft plans to plan torelease a new version of Teams that will

has been rewritten from scratch, which should significantly improve its performance and reduce the use of system resources.

What is known

Over this new version of the Microsoft client alreadyhas been working for the past few years. It should use 50% less RAM, use less CPU, and improve battery life on laptops. All this should happen thanks to the transition from Electron technology to Microsoft Edge Webview 2, as well as the use of React and JavaScript libraries.

So far, it is known that the company plans to send out a beta version of the program to testers at the end of March. It will have the ability to switch to a standard build if needed.
