Microsoft to ban Asus, Lenovo and other manufacturers from selling Windows 11 laptops on HDD

Microsoft has decided to present Windows 11 to users in the best possible light. For this the company

will introduce some bans on the use of its system as early as 2023. Discuss

We are talking about preinstalling Windows 11 oncomputers and laptops, in which hard drives act as the main media. Thus, OEMs, including Lenovo, Asus and others, will be forced to release devices exclusively with SSD storage.

Interestingly, Microsoft representatives declined to comment on this situation. At the same time, the system requirements of the operating system itself still do not indicate the need to use an SSD.

Note that purely from the point of view of convenienceusing Windows 11 switching to a solid state drive is quite logical. The only strange thing is that the Redmonds leave no choice to manufacturers of computers and laptops. They also refuse to comment on information about a fresh initiative.
