Microsoft will release a stripped-down version of Windows 11

Microsoft is preparing to launch a new low-cost Surface Laptop and a special stripped-down version of Windows 11 for it - Windows 11 SE.

This is how the company will compete with Chromebooks.

It is reported that the upcoming laptop could be called the Surface Laptop SE and will most likely beFeatures an 11.6-inch 1366 x 768 pixel display, an Intel N4120 Celeron processor, and 8GB of RAM.The budget laptop will be designed specifically for students.

As for the operating system, it will be similar to Windows 10 S, a special version of the operating system designed for the educational segment.That is, it will be a stripped-down "Windows" for inexpensive products.

It's unclear when Microsoft plans to release the new Surface Laptop or Windows 11 SE.
