Ming-Chi Kuo: iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro will get different USB-C ports, only top models will have increased data transfer speed

Apple recently confirmed that it plans to include a USB-C charging port in future iPhone models. Now

analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has more details on this.

What is known

So, according to Kuo, iPhone 15 models will havedifferent USB-C ports. Basic versions of devices (iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus) will have a USB 2.0 connector with data transfer speeds of up to 480 Mbps. That is, like Lightning in the current line.

Regarding iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max(aka iPhone 15 Ultra), the new products will boast USB-C 3.2 or Thunderbolt 3 ports. In the first case, devices will be able to transfer data at speeds of up to 20 Gbit/s, and in the second - up to 40 Gbit/s.
