A clinical trial of a vaccine against COVID-19 will begin soon in Kirov, St. Petersburg and
Novosibirsk.It is planned that more than 3 thousand volunteers will take part in the research, which will meet the requirements of the World Health Organization and international regulators and will provide the research with a reliable amount of scientific data.Press service of the Ministry of Health
After vaccination, study participants will be isolated in hospitals for 16 days, where their condition will be monitored by doctors.
The ministry clarified that volunteers willall necessary information about the procedure, possible benefits, risks and inconveniences associated with participation in the study is provided. The tests are planned to be completed in November 2020.
Currently registered in Russiavaccine "Gam-Covid-Vac", developed by the Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology named after Gamalei of the Ministry of Health of Russia. It is planned that on September 30, clinical trials of the vaccine developed by the Novosibirsk center "Vector" will be completed. As announced, in October, documents can be submitted for its registration, and in November, production began.
