MIUI 12.5 broke the popular Xiaomi gaming smartphone

Xiaomi produces gaming smartphones under the Black Shark brand. They also work on MIUI firmware, even if it is a little

modified. Another update broke the previous generation gaming phone.

What happened?

Xiaomi Black Shark 3 Pro started testingproblems after installing the MIUI 12.5 software from August 27, but users only started reporting this this week. The firmware is based on the Android 11 operating system.

After updating the shell, we began to observeuser interface stuttering and autonomy issues. One of the owners of Black Shark 3 Pro notes that from 100% the battery is discharged to zero in 2 hours of playing Pokemon Go. Before the software update, it was possible to play for more than 5 hours.

Another problem is slow charging.Previously, a 5000 mAh battery was fully charged in about half an hour. It now takes almost an hour using a 65-watt power adapter. In addition, after each reboot, up to 5% of the battery charge is lost.

Factory reset does not fix the problem. Xiaomi has not given any answer yet.
