genetically modified mosquitoes in the stateCalifornia. Scientists suggest this will reduce mosquito populations and prevent deadly diseases. In total, scientists want to release more than 2 million mosquitoes, which, when mating with insects, kill them. Without human intervention, they carry the potentially deadly viruses Zika, dengue, yellow fever, chikungunya and others.
