Capcom has finally broken its silence and revealed more details regarding the Resident Evil animated series:
What is known
Unlike the films, Infinite Darkness isa canonical addition to the universe featuring classic Capcom characters. Even Nick Apostolides and Stephanie Panisello, who gave the voices to Leon and Claire in Resident Evil 2 Remake, were hired to voice the characters. Therefore, you won’t have to get used to the characters and their voices again.
You can see the appearance of Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield in Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness in the screenshots below.

The series will take place in 2006. Leon arrives at the White House to investigate the hacking of a government network, but the task suddenly turns into shooting zombies that have suddenly appeared.
Claire also works for TerraSaveand helps refugees abroad, where he finds a child’s drawing depicting an infected person. The girl heads to the White House to ask for funding and runs into Leon. Claire shows him the drawing, prompting him to think that the previous zombie invasion is connected with a virus outbreak on another part of the world.
The release of Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is set for 2021 and the series will air on Netflix.
