Moscow policemen will get glasses with face recognition technology from FindFace developer

During the tests, the glasses will make it possible to identify a person by their face based on a database containing biometric

data of 1.5 thousand suspects in various crimes, the agency said in a statement.

The development presentation is expected to take place at the end of 2019 during the Interpolitex exhibition. Technical characteristics of the device source RBC does not disclose.

Earlier, the face recognition system FindFace Security, developed by the Russian company NtechLab, helped to arrest a robbery suspect during testing.

In September last year in the Moscow systemCCTV integrated face recognition technology from NtechLab. Now, every person who is in the visibility of a network of 170 thousand cameras will be identified. Moscow authorities say it will help speed up the detection of crimes.
