Multi-Year Partnership Reaches New Levels: Nintendo and DeNa Form Joint Company to Develop Mobile Games and Apps

Nintendo and DeNa have signed an agreement to create a joint venture, Nintendo Systems, which will deal

development of mobile games and service applications for the Nintendo ecosystem.

The Japanese giant will become the largest shareholder, which will own 80% of the capital of Nintendo Systems, and will take full control of the new company.

It is worth noting that this is not the first joint project between Nintendo and DeNa, they have previously developed mobile games:

Based on the experience of seven years of cooperation injoint development of numerous services based on the Nintendo Account, and further Nintendo and DeNA will develop their partnership. In an effort to enhance the digitalization of Nintendo's business, the joint venture will conduct research and development and provide value-added services to further strengthen Nintendo's relationship with consumers.
