Previously, US authorities ordered manufacturerselectric cars introduce external speakers into their cars to increase pedestrian safety. Artificial noise should come from the speakers so that pedestrians can hear the approach of electric cars whose engines are running silently.
Tesla's external speakers will work withexisting electric vehicle alarm system. Other details of the new technology have not yet been disclosed. In addition, this system in the future could work for self-driving taxis, which Tesla cars can become in their free time.
