Recall that in 2019, Sega was ranked 18place on this list. She managed to break into the leaders due to Persona 5 Royal and the Xbox version of Yakuza. The Metacritic rating itself was based on the average rating of projects on the aggregator, the percentage of “good” (from 75%) and “bad” products (up to 50%), as well as the number of particularly successful games (from 90%).
Sega scored 327.2 points on the list, whilethe average rating of the company's games last year was fixed at around 81.6%. Annapurna Interactive came in second with 322.9 points, while Capcom came in third. The top 10 also includes: Sony Interactive Entertainment, Activision Blizzard, Microsoft, Aksys Games, No More Robots, Nintendo and Devolver Digital.
