Express Silenseas. More than 140 years ago, the company launched the first luxury trains, according to a message on the manufacturer's website.

Orient Express has developed a sailboat and will launchtogether with Accor (the largest international hotel operator) and Chantiers de l'Atlantique, the world's leading shipbuilding company. The Silenseas ship is reportedly set to sail on its maiden voyage in 2026.

The length of the yacht is 220 meters,on board there will be 22 300 unattended machinery spaces and 54 suites with an average area of ​​70 m². And also - a monumental presidential suite with an area of ​​1415 m² (including a private terrace of 530 m²), two swimming pools, two restaurants and a speakeasy bar.

Laurent Castaing, Managing Director of Chantiersde l'Atlantique, said in a press release that the ship will usher in a new era in the shipbuilding industry. “This concept, which emerged from our design offices in 2018, is the essence of excellence in naval architecture, complex hull construction, and luxury interior design,” he explains.

The director of Chantiers de l’Atlantique added,that the company’s engineers have already developed a “revolutionary” wind power plant with an area of ​​1 500 m², and have also tested the first prototype. In addition, the ship will be equipped with a hybrid propulsion system running on liquefied natural gas. It is artificially liquefied, cooled to −160 °C for ease of storage or transportation.

Thus, “Silenseas will become a reference ship in terms of environmentally friendly operation and design,” concludes the director of the shipbuilding company.
