NASA has shown how an iceberg larger than London has broken off from the Brant Glacier

Since 2013, the world's first mobile Arctic station Halley VI has opened on the Brant Glacier. Researchers

are exploring a major crack on a glacier thatremained stable in the last 35 years, but in recent years has developed a speed of 4 km per year. Recently, the second crack appeared on the glacier - Halloween, which moves to the main crack on the opposite side of the glacier.

In the future, the stability of the glacier will be directlydepend on how long these cracks connect and where. In addition, it is likely that the Halley VI station will have to be moved further from the cracks to increase its safety.

Recently, NASA showed a perfectly rectangular iceberg that broke off from the Larsen ice shelf.
