A black hole is at the center of a cluster of galaxiesin Perseus, and the acoustic waves emanating from it were moved up 57 and 58 octaves so that they could be heard by a person. You can listen to the recording below (sounds creepy):
The black hole emits waves that cause ripples in the hot gas around. It was them that were processed into sound.
