NGAD (Next Generation Air Dominance) is a project after which the world began to seriously discuss the topic of the sixth generation of fighters.
What's wrong with the F-22?The machine has been in service for over fifteen years and has proven itself in battles. None of the potential adversaries have similar machines yet, China and Russia are just getting used to the fifth generation. What is this if not an attempt to drag countries into a new arms race, straining their military budgets?

It turns out that there are problems, and the tone of the American military sounds more and more decisive - they want to get rid of the Raptor. The reasons are as follows:
1)The abundance of unresolved "childhood diseases"... Several aircraft lost due to crashesavionics, malfunctioning sensors, and especially the system for providing air to the cockpit: complaints about odors, dizziness, two pilots officially refused to fly the F-22, one died, losing consciousness.
2)Unsolved problem of side radars,they were abandoned at the development stage, foraccelerating the project. Because of this, it is difficult for the aircraft to attack targets from any direction; the missile must be accompanied within a range of no more than 90 degrees. The Su-57 does not have such a problem, for example.
3)Cannot work in infrared range, the lack of the necessary devices for this, which greatly affects long distances and at night in terms of object recognition.
4)Inability to use the tactical Linx-16 system... It is a communication, control and navigation systemworking at ultra-high "jumping" frequencies. For some tasks, the F-22 is forced to use a conventional radio, which puts an end to stealth at such moments.
That is, in a number of aspects, even the upgraded F-15 to the F-15SE is in many ways preferable.

In addition to the "sixth", it is planned to install lasers, which for the last two years have been growing in the US Army like mushrooms, and are already being used to equip the Navy, Air Force and even ground units of different power.
There is already news about the readiness of the pre-flightaircraft samples. It is expected to replace the F-22 completely by 2030, while the mastered F-35 workhorse will replace the depleted F-15 and F-16 upgrades.

Therefore, in 2019, the director of RSK MiG, Ilya Tarasenko, announced the development of the PAK DP (advanced long-range interception aircraft complex) to replace the MiG-31, an ageless interceptor.
At the same time, approximately the index began to appearMiG-41 - they say, the thirty-first no longer pulls at speeds in its 2.8 Mach (for an interceptor, of course), it is necessary to bring it to 4 Mach and higher. And the complex of modern weapons on the plane of the 70s is becoming more and more difficult to attach.

Obviously, if the 6th generation is not a bluff, it is notan attempt to drag the Russians and Chinese into the arms race and not "cut" the budget by the American military elite itself, then the first successful flights of NGAD and Tempest can finally withdraw (at least Russia, but not only her) from the top league of countries producing military aircraft. We will be thrown aside India, which is gaining independence in development, and already with them the Russian aircraft industry will compete for the markets of Algeria, Myanmar or Uganda.
