Netflix released a full trailer for The Witcher, revealing the final release date in the service.

The premiere of the series is scheduled to take place on the 16thDecember, but Netflix users won't see the first episode until December 20th. In the new trailer, viewers were given a good look at Geralt, Ciri and Yennefer, so now fans can officially be angry or happy with the characters’ incarnations on the screen.
Let us remind you that Netflix has only ordered the first season.for eight episodes. The serial “The Witcher” will not follow the game universe; instead, the showrunner of the project, Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, took the book by Andrzej Sapkowski as a basis. As a result, fans can get a canonical story with mature themes and images.
“You’ll get all the action in the world.There is violence, blood, sex, dead children. But even when you endure it all, there are great moments of pure drama, human moments. Fantasy is about normal people in abnormal places and situations,” Hissrich said.
Geralt will be played by Henry Cavill, who became famous for his role as Superman. Freya Allan will play Ciri, and the role of Yennefer was given to Anya Chalotra.
