New circumstances of the failed Cyberpunk 2077 release: Romanian testers negligently treated the contract with CD Projekt Red

Another Cyberpunk 2077 scandal is likely to break out in the near future.

All gamers remember

a disastrous start to the most anticipated game of recent yearsseveral years. CD Projekt Red promised to release a game of unrivaled quality, but instead it released a half-finished game with an incredible number of bugs. It got to the point that Sony took unprecedented measures, temporarily removing the game from the PS Store, and outraged customers and investors filed numerous lawsuits.

Of course, over time, all the circumstances of this failure will become known, but some details are already beginning to appear.

What is known

Cyberpunk 2077 was tested by the Romanian company Quantic Lab, and it is logical to assume that they gave the green light to the game with an incredible number of errors.

PC Gamer conducted its own investigation and, on condition of anonymity, interviewed Quantic Lab employees about the current situation with the testing of the CD Projekt Red game.

Briefly about the main

It turned out that the main problem of the Romanianthe company — a negligent attitude towards the concluded contracts, of which Quantic Lab concluded more than the employees were physically able to fulfill. Moreover, there was a catastrophic shortage of employees in principle, and those that were there did not have sufficient competence and made many mistakes. The management of the Romanian company recommended that employees track down minor bugs, which is why major problems simply fell out of their field of vision.

During cooperation with Romanians, CD ProjektRed tried to express their dissatisfaction with their work, but it had no effect. Quantic Lab hid its little experience and low qualifications in testing such large-scale projects, as a result of which what happened happened.

It is obvious that Quantic Lab's total errors do not remove responsibility from CD Projekt Red, but partly explain the current situation.

Summarizing

Quantic Lab does not comment on PC Gamer's investigation.

CD Projekt Red titanic efforts corrected the main shortcomings of the game and continues to work actively in this direction and beyond.

Gamers are finally happy after almost two years with Cyberpunk 2077, whose sales continue to skyrocket.

The failure of the release of Cyberpunk 2077, we hope, will be an important lesson for the Polish studio, which began working on five big-budget projects at once.

And Marcin Iwiński, founder andCEO of CD Projekt Red, will leave his post in the near future. Who knows, maybe the failure of Cyberpunk 2077 largely provoked this decision.
