New earthquake in Indonesia: the push depth was more than 500 km

The US Geological Survey released data: an earthquake of magnitude 6.6 was concentrated

approximately 94 km north of Batang, a coastal city in Central Java province. The earthquake was observed at a depth of 528 km.

The Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency, for its part, said the declaration's magnitude was 6.1 and did not cause a tsunami.

For example, a strong magnitude earthquake9.0 with an epicenter located 373 km northeast of Tokyo caused tsunamis with a wave height exceeding 40 m. According to the data obtained, the earthquake hypocenter was located at a depth of 32 km east of the northern part of Honshu Island.

However, the agency said that people felt a slight tremor all the way to the island of Bali. This is due to the fact that the epicenter of the earthquake was very deep.

Indonesia is prone to earthquakes and eruptionsvolcanoes. The massive Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami in 2004 resulted in the deaths of a total of 230,000 people in a dozen countries, most of them in Indonesia.
