New eVTOL range record set on a single charge

Autoflight has announced a new record: the prototype 4th generation air taxi Prosperity I has completed the most

longest flight in history for electricvertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. The device flew 250.64 km on a single charge. This is slightly more than the previous record (249 km), set by Joby Aviation in 2021.

It is reported that the record flight was made on 23February and consisted of 20 turns at the European test base of the company in Germany. The flight was carried out with the help of remote piloting of the machine from the ground. The distance traveled was confirmed both by the readings of our own eVTOL avionics and third-party independent sensors.

Test flight is for certificationeVTOL for commercial use. It is expected to be released to the market as early as 2025. This electric aircraft has a speed of up to 200 km/h and, according to the company, flew more than a thousand km during the tests.
