I'm tempted to say "looks liketypical Chinese laptop”, but I am almost sure that this epithet will be perceived by most readers as negative. But, in fact, modern Chinese - all these Mi Book, MateBook, Realme book - once copied their appearance from the MacBook Air (well, a little more from Asus Zenbook), which was and remains the reference ultrabook, although the very word Ultrabook no longer used in marketing today.
In short, the Infinix Inbook X2 looks verycool, but not innovative. Well, again, everyone will decide that this is a minus ... But the main thing is that the laptop is very thin (14.8 mm in the thickest place - however, this is without taking into account the legs), light (1.24 kg), and still stylish, albeit similar to all of the above "Chinesebooks" almost like two drops of water.
In addition to a good appearance, the manufacturer is wellI also thought about plugs. In this sense, it "does" Realme Book, which did not even have HDMI. True, there were some rather strange nuances.
First, let's look at the set of ports itself. On the left side we see full-size HDMI, followed by USB-A (i.e. full-size USB), and, finally, USB-C.
On the right side: a card reader for micro-SD, USB-C, a 3.5 mm combo jack, and another USB-A.
In general, the set is very decent, but get ready for oddities. So.
Both are full size (i.e.USB-A) connectors support USB 3.1, however, the right connector is soldered “inversely”, that is, external devices must be inserted into it with the reverse side of the USB cable up, while the left USB-A, as is customary for laptops, requires connecting cables to the front side up (if anything, the front side is where the USB logo is drawn, and where there is no line for closing the metal plate).
As for USB-C, the left connector is“full”, it allows you to connect both USB hubs and external monitors, and the right one is “limited”, and even USB 2.0. So, yes, of all four USB ports, the weakest link is the right USB-C. And this, by the way, is a problem, because the left USB-C is used to connect the power supply (45 watts).
In short, when you are plugged into an outlet, thenYou won't be able to use any USB-C hubs. This is, of course, a huge minus. While providing a decent selection of ports, much more interesting than most laptops in its class, the Infinix Inbook X2 severely limits the user. With such a distribution of ports, it would be better to add some kind of separate connector for power.
Well, it’s worth adding that the card reader is also connected to USB 2.0.
Keyboard and touchpad
The keyboard of the Infinix Inbook X2 is a complete delight.Full-sized keys with a short but precise stroke are exactly what you expect from such laptops. And even Ctrl in the lower left corner, and not Fn, as some people do. I also note that the keys are already Russified, and not like Maibenben, where they offer stickers in the kit.
The keyboard is equipped with a backlight, which has two levels of brightness (in addition to the fact that it can not be turned on at all).
Another interesting point is pressing Fn + Spaceturns on the backlight ... Front camera. True, this does not add much to the lighting from the screen itself. Even if you sit in complete darkness, the screen itself will illuminate your face much better than this backlight. And with lighting from it, there is no sense at all.
The touchpad, however, I would also like to praise.It is wide and very responsive. Say, not so long ago I bought a gaming laptop from Acer - everyone is a good model, very productive, and costs 2.5 times more than the Infinix Inbook X2, but the touchpad works worse there. But everything is fine with Infinix, except when you press the touchpad (if you want to press the button, and not just touch the surface), it clicks too loudly.
Screen and software
Infinix Inbook X2 in all configurationsequipped with a 14-inch Full-HD screen with a refresh rate of 60 Hz and a maximum declared brightness of 300 cd / m2. Compared to the much more expensive Realme Book, this is not enough, but other competitors for 50 thousand rubles have only 250 cd / m2. In any case, this brightness is more than enough for a room. The maximum brightness measured by the colorimeter was 290 cd / m2 - very close to the declared one. The contrast in this case is 1000:1, and the deviation from the specified color (Delta E) is 4.96.

The screen is pleasant to the eye, with a matte finish and no glare. In general, I liked both working and watching videos on the Infinix Inbook X2 screen.
The only pity is that you can find the matrix by name codeor the manufacturer on the Internet, I was never able to do so - googling by matrix ID (HJC003D) leads to Chinese reviews, by manufacturer (140PM42D1568) - to Russian-language ones.
As for the operating system, in generalThe store will sell laptops without an OS. That is, there are no plans yet for an option with a pre-installed OS, but they brought me a model with Windows 11 for testing.
Performance and autonomy
Infinix Inbook X2 laptops come in threeoptions. The junior configuration has an Intel Core i3 processor, 256 GB SSD and 4 GB of RAM. The average one, which was brought to me for testing: Core i5, 512 GB SSD and 8 GB RAM. And the maximum: Core i7, 512 GB SSD, 8 GB RAM.
Thus, like Realme, Infinix decidedyou can do without the option with 16 GB of RAM, but given the price, everything is more or less adequate. Unless, personally, I don’t see any point in taking a model with a Core i7 and 8 GB of RAM.
So my test variant has an intel processorCore i5-1035G1 Ice Lake family. Clock frequency - 1 GHz. The processor has 4 cores, each of which works in two threads. The RAM, apparently, is soldered on the board and cannot be expanded.

The SSD drive is from the Chinese brand Foresee, the volume is 512 GB, the read / write speed is 2500/1700 MB / s. Pretty decent storage.
Read/write speeds for an inexpensive laptop are quite decent
The laptop didn’t particularly shine in the benchmarks, but that’sIt’s clear - this is neither a gaming PC nor a powerful workstation. In PC Mark 10 there were only 3470 points, in Cinebench R23 - 2436/764 points in multi-core/single-core modes, respectively, and in the gaming 3D Mark Time Spy there were even 465 points, which is more than expected in the absence of a discrete video card.

But as for autonomy - the manufacturerclaims “up to 10 hours” (uses a 50 Wh battery), but this is very far from the truth. With a screen brightness of 150 cd/m2 (comfortable brightness indoors), the Infinix Inbook X2 discharged in 6 hours 36 minutes in regular office work mode, 6 hours 32 minutes in video viewing mode, and 2 hours 29 minutes in gaming mode.
At maximum brightness, it turned out 5 hours 10 minutes in office mode, 5 hours 49 minutes in video mode and 2 hours 23 minutes in games. Autonomy measurements were carried out in PC Mark.
In general, no “10 o’clock” for you, but overall not bad.
Finally, I would like to note the strange behavior of the cooler.It’s so quiet, and even when it turns on, it doesn’t force you to put on headphones (either with or without noise canceling), but it often turns on for no apparent reason - even when nothing special is happening. Either the Chinese played it safe, or it’s just a feature.

It can be found in stock at prices ranging from 45 to 55 thousand rubles, which also corresponds to the price of the Inbook X2. The VivoBook will be 150 grams heavier, a little thicker, the screen will be even less bright (250 cd/m2), and the storage will be only 256 GB. Also, although there are more full-size USB-A ports (three instead of two), two of them are USB 2.0. But full-function USB-C can be used even when the laptop is connected to power.
In general, if you do not trust Infinix, you can take it, but otherwise the Inbook X2 looks more profitable.

There's an Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor, which is still better than Infinix's Intel Core i5-1035G1, and there's also Windows 11 pre-installed (home, monolingual). The screen is like that of the Asus VivoBook (since it is worse than that of the Infinix Inbook X2), but there are two USB-A ports of the USB 3.2 Gen 1 standard.

Actually, at first I was going to write slightlysad conclusions, but after googling the availability and prices of laptops in Russia, I changed my mind. Those Chinese laptops from Xiaomi, Huawei, Honor, which cost 50-60 thousand comparable to Infinix on Core i5, are now out of stock. And those that are sold are already much more expensive.
The laptop from Realme is certainly better than Infinix in everything (except for the HDMI port, which is not there), but even with a promotion it cost more than 60 thousand, and without a promotion - all 80. And try to find it too.
Of course, I don’t know yet what will happen with the availabilityInfinix Inbook X2 - how quickly the first batch will be sold, and what is the volume of this batch in general. Let me just say that the price of 55 thousand rubles (and for the promotional period - 50 thousand rubles) for a model with Core i5 is one of the most profitable offers today. But Infinix will also have a model with a Core i3 for 37 thousand with a promotion (without a promotion - 43 thousand). But I still consider the model with Core i7 (60 thousand during the promotion, 63 thousand after) a little superfluous.
And most importantly, Infinix Inbook X2 is really one of the lightest and most compact laptops. With a screen diagonal of 14 inches, it is even thinner and lighter than the 13-inch MacBook Air. Isn't it great?
Only the absurdity with the USB-C port is frustrating.This is a serious drawback, which will be difficult to get used to if you still need to use a USB-C hub. The rest is an excellent model, although it is made of components of dubious origin (screen, SSD). But during the test, I did not find any problems with them.
