Acer has introduced a number of new laptops that are either already on sale or coming soon
Acer ENDURO line

Mostly rugged laptops are associatedwith large, heavy “industrial” type with a carrying handle. Acer also has these, for example, Acer ENDURO N7. But this is truly a corporate-class device exclusively made to order. But today we will talk about two new consumer models with adequate prices. They are aimed at users who spend a lot of time on the road, travel and need a laptop that will work in less than favorable conditions. Acer ENDURO Urban N3 has a durable body with rubberized inserts and plugs for connection ports. And for cooling, an Aquafan fan is used with a special sealed design and blows out any liquid that gets inside. At the same time, the laptop is protected according to the IP53 standard and has MIL-STD-810H certification. It can operate in high and low temperatures, high humidity, withstands vibration, falls from a small height and will not fail in light rain.

Despite all this, the laptop looks quitemodern, weighs an absolutely adequate 1.85 kg with a case thickness of 21.95 mm. The characteristics are also in perfect order: 14-inch IPS screen with protective glass, FullHD resolution and 450 cd/m2 brightness. Inside are 11th Gen Intel Core processors up to i7, up to 32GB of RAM, up to 1TB SSD, and configurations with NVIDIA GeForce MX330 graphics. The sound is provided by built-in stereo speakers with support for Acer TrueHarmony. They promise up to 13 hours of battery life. There is Type-C, Thunderbolt 4, HDMI and Wi-Fi 6. Price starts at23 700 UAH.

Acer ENDURO N3 has a lot in common with the previous onemodel, but it is a little closer to the corporate segment. Among the main differences, it is worth noting a fingerprint scanner, the presence of Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0 and an RS-232 port, which is currently used mainly in specialized equipment. Among the less important features, protection according to the IP53 standard remains the same, but certification is already according to the military standard MIL-STD-810G (not H), which has more stringent requirements for devices. In particular, a wider range of operating temperatures.

For filling:the same 14-inch IPS screen with protective Gorilla glass (the manufacturer is not specified in the ENDURO Urban N3) and FullHD resolution. Inside there are 10th generation Intel Core processors up to i7, up to 32 GB of RAM, optional discrete graphics NVIDIA GeForce MX230 and HDD storage up to 1 TB plus PCIe 3.0 NVMe SSD up to 512 GB. There is USB Type-A 3.1, HDMI, VGA, the aforementioned RS-232, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0. Autonomy is similar: 13 hours. Price starts from29,000 UAH.
Acer Swift X

Now let's move on to more mainstream laptops.Acer has decided to expand its popular Swift line with another model. The Acer Swift X is designed for those who want a lightweight and portable, yet powerful enough laptop. The case is made of metal, the weight is 1.39 kg, the case thickness is 17.9 mm. At the same time, inside the laptop, AMD Ryzen 5000 series processors are used, and NVIDIA GeForce up to RTX 3050 Ti in the top configuration are used as a video card. The base version will be the GTX 1650 Ti. To effectively cool all this, CO is used with two heat pipes, one fan and cold air intake both from the bottom and through the keyboard. There are three modes of operation: quiet, normal and productive, depending on the current task.

Acer Swift X features a 14-inch IPS display withthin frames, FullHD resolution and 300 cd/m2 brightness. SSDs with a PCIe interface with a capacity of up to 2 TB are used as storage. The laptop is equipped, among other things, with a Type-C 3.2 Gen 2 connector with support for Power Delivery and Display Port, as well as a full-size USB 3.1. There is fast Wi-Fi 6, and a fingerprint scanner is provided for authorization into the system. Acer promises up to 17 hours of battery life on a single battery charge. Price starts from32 800 UAH.

A line of laptops for “creatorscontent” ConceptD also has a new model called ConceptD 5. The laptop is available in black and white, the body is made of magnesium alloy and the thickness is 19.9 mm. Separately, the company focuses on an enlarged glass touchpad with a built-in fingerprint scanner. The laptop has a display that is not quite standard, both in size and characteristics. It has a diagonal of 16 inches, an aspect ratio of 16:10 and a resolution of 3K (3072×1920). It occupies 87% of the lid area. They promise 100% DCI-P3 color space coverage and Delta E<2 color accuracy. The screen is Pantone certified.

AeroBlade 3D CO 5th is used for coolinggenerations with Vortex Flow technology, which is in many ways similar to the powerful Predator gaming models. It consists of three heat pipes and three fans. At the same time, it is tuned in such a way that, even at maximum speed, the noise is minimal. For the same purpose, a quiet scissor keyboard with 1.5 mm key travel is used.

As for security, in addition to the finger scanner, there is a TPM 2.0 module and a slot for Kensington Lock. The laptop is powered by a 99.8 W battery, which should be enough for 8 hours of operation. This model will go on sale in the fourth quarter of the year.

Despite its gaming positioning, inThe Predator line includes not only openly gaming models with RGB lighting and aggressive design. The new Acer Predator Triton 500 SE has a stylish, yet discreet metal body with a thickness of 19.9 mm in gray. Despite this, the filling inside is very playful. The laptop is equipped with a 16-inch PolarBlack screen with an aspect ratio of 16:10 and a resolution of 2560x1600. It supports a refresh rate of 240 Hz, and the matrix response time is 3 ms. At the same time, there is support for G-Sync frame rate synchronization. They promise 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space, as in the model above.

Acer Predator Helios 500

Well, now let's move on to the “thoroughbred”gaming news. For the first time since 2019, the company decided to update the Acer Predator Helios 500 gaming laptop. It was completely redesigned, so the innovations affected not only the insides of the laptop. This is a large and weighty 17.3-inch model with RGB backlighting for the keyboard and lower part of the case. One of the pride of a laptop is its screen. In the top configuration, it will be a 4K Mini LED panel with 4608 LEDs and 512 local dimming zones. They promise a DCI-P3 color gamut of 100% and a peak brightness of 1180 cd/m2. The display is VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certified with a refresh rate of 120Hz and an overclocked pixel response time of 3ms. Simpler configurations will also be available: QHD at 165 Hz and FullHD at 360 Hz, but IPS. All variants support G-Sync.

Another feature of the laptop is replaceable analoguebuttons with MagTek technology (first used in the Acer Predator Helios 700). Their essence is that the buttons react to the degree of pressure. Which, for example, will be useful in simulators or racing games. Thanks to these switches, you can control the “throttle” and other indicators. The set will include both low profile MagForce and higher profile Racing. They can be removed and replaced quite easily thanks to the special included tool.
