In the trailer, we are shown a destroyed,the plague-ridden city of Krat, where some beasts are escaping from the pursuit of the monster past the fallen inhabitants. When one of the monsters combines with a mechanical figure to become what is likely to be the boss, the scarred man siphons blue energy into an occult device.
How should all this relate tothe story of the wooden doll is not very clear, but there is an opinion that blue energy – this is a reference to the Fairy with turquoise hair who will finally grant Pinocchio's wish.
