New patch adds critical Takemura bug to Cyberpunk 2077, and CD Projekt explains how to work around it

At the end of January, CD Projekt released patch 1.10 for Cyberpunk 2077. The update has fixed bugs and improved

performance, but at the same time added a new critical bug to the game.

What is known

During the mission "Old Friends" the playerneed to call Takemura. Due to a new bug, when a player receives a call, the character simply stares at the screen in silence. Without dialogue, the quest does not progress further, and therefore players cannot continue the passage. In addition, while talking on the phone, gamers are deprived of some of the opportunities, and the frozen conversation with Takemura is just regarded by the game as a call.

CD Projekt RED is already aware of the issue and is working to fix it. However, before the patch is released, players will have to use a workaround:

  1. Load the save file created before V and Takemura leave Wakako's office.
  2. Immediately after leaving the office, you need to end the conversation with Takemura.
  3. After finishing the conversation and updating the task, skip 23 hours.
  4. See if the dialog appears after that.

The next major patch for Cyberpunk 2077 is scheduled for February, but the bug may be fixed earlier with another hotfix.
