The United States Air Force has published new photos of the B-21 strategic aircraft

Three months ago in California at the factory inPalmdale hosted the presentation of the new generation nuclear bomber B-21 Raider. Northrop Grumman and the US Air Force took security very seriously, restricting journalists even from the angle from which they were allowed to take photos of the aircraft.
The new photo immediately catches the eyeair intakes. They are very deeply recessed into the body of the bomber. This feature was difficult to notice in the pictures from the official presentation of the aircraft because of the angle.
This design is designed to provide very low visibility for a strategic aircraft. It goes back to the features of air intakes without a diverter, which were used in aircraft in the past.

In addition, the wings of a nuclear bomber have holes for conformal antennas. They are responsible for ensuring stable satellite communications.
In 2023, the B-21 Raider will make its first flight.Northrop Grumman currently has six prototypes in various stages of assembly. The US Air Force has received $1.3 billion to buy the first bomber in 2023, and the service wants to have 100 aircraft in service.
