Volkswagen and Argo AI have created a model of the self-driving minibus ID Buzz with six lidars, 11 radars and 14
Tests of the bus began in Germany and the United States, and on an enclosed field with an area of 90 thousand square meters.m² near Munich Airport. Testing on Hamburg's roads is expected to begin in a few months.
It is planned that by 2025 buses will be able to provide commercial services for the transportation of goods and passengers in automatic mode.
VW first unveiled the ID Buzz concept back in 2017year and has been testing its development ever since. In July 2021, Argo AI and Ford announced the launch of at least 1,000 self-driving Lyft taxis in five years in Miami and Austin.
