After a year of negotiations, Romania agreed to purchase American fighters from Norway
What is known
Norway will sell the Armed Forces of Romania 32aircraft. The contract value was €388 million. The deal involves maintenance of the fighters, which will be carried out with US support in Norway.
Norway has become a strategic partnerKongsberg Aviation Maintenance Services. It will provide support, maintenance and staff training. Deliveries of the fourth generation F-16 fighters will begin in 2023.
