Pshenichnaya stressed that it is difficult to answer whether the sense of smell or taste will be restored in people who have had covid. These disturbances can be observed within two years after recovery.
“In some cases, with post-covid syndromethere are signs of damage to the cardiovascular system, kidneys, metabolic disorders. In some patients, a persistent loss of taste and smell has been observed for two years, ”the expert said. She also added that there may be such symptoms: increased fatigue and drowsiness.
