The Google I/O conference is getting closer, where perhaps the company’s most important innovation in 2023 will be presented. Speech
is about the first folding smartphone from the Pixel brandFold, which will finally unlock the potential of Android for foldable gadgets. While we wait, evleaks is sharing visual content that finalizes the design of the upcoming newcomer. True, not all – in the published press photos we only see the outer display and camera unit, while the inner screen remains out of sight. The general design concept corresponds to that implemented in the Pixel 7 Pro: triple main camera with a periscope (though not edge-to-edge), the front camera is in the center of the display. The frames are quite wide, but within the normal range for this category of devices.
On the screen itself you can see the classicPixel Launcher firmware, there is a reference to 5G support (who would doubt it). It is expected that the Pixel Fold will be based on the Google Tensor G2 chipset, and we have described most of the characteristics in detail here. Approximate price – $1799. The presentation will take place on May 10.
