Not only Challenger 2 and Leopard 2: Ukraine can get French Leclerc tanks

What is known

According to Politico, France may transferLeclerc tanks in Ukraine. One of the French officials reported this anonymously. According to him, negotiations on the supply of tanks are still ongoing and there is no final decision yet.

For those who are not in the know

Leclerc is a French modernmain battle tank. It was created by the GIAT concern in the 1980s to replace the outdated AMX-30 tank. Serial production of the Leclerc began in 1992. By 2007, 794 units were produced. Now the tanks are no longer being produced. As of 2010, 406 tanks of this type are in service with France and 388 in service with the army of the United Arab Emirates.

By the way, France recently announced the transfer of AMX-10 RC wheeled tanks to Ukraine.
