Not only Leopard 1 tanks: Denmark is preparing to transfer 19 Caesar self-propelled artillery mounts to Ukraine

What is known

Information shared by the actingHead of the Danish Ministry of Defense Troels Lund Poulsen during a briefing with his Ukrainian counterpart. Deliveries of self-propelled artillery units should begin in May. Now the Ukrainian military is already undergoing a training program on their use. In total, the APU will receive 19 systems.

For those who are not in the know

Caesar is a French 155 mm self-propelled gun,designed to destroy manpower, artillery batteries, bunkers, as well as provide passages in minefields and field obstacles. The maximum firing range of the self-propelled gun is 42 km. The Caesar self-propelled gun is capable of firing 6 rounds per minute. It is served by a crew of 4-5 people. Ukraine currently has 37 such installations in its arsenal. By the way, the Danish version of the Caesar is different from the French model. It has more weight, improved armor and increased ammunition capacity from 18 to 36 rounds.
