The Netherlands, together with Denmark, will transfer to Ukraine not only Leopard 1 tanks, but also newer ones

Dutch Defense Minister Kaisa announced thisOllongren (Kajsa Ollongren). We are talking about 14 combat vehicles in the Leopard 2A4 modification. They will be purchased from an unnamed country, modernized, and then sent to Ukraine. The purchase amount will be 165,000,000 euros. Unfortunately, there is no point in expecting tanks to be delivered anytime soon. They are planned to be transferred to the Ukrainian Armed Forces only in 2024.

As for Leopard 1, the first batch of tanks will arrive in Ukraine at the end of spring. In total, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will receive 80 such combat vehicles this year. In 2024, about 20 more units will be transferred.
