For those who are not in the know

PT-91 Twardy is a Polish main battle tank.created under license on the basis of the Soviet T-72M1. The first prototypes of the PT-91 were made in 1993. The basic version of the tank was serially produced at the Bumar-Labenda plant from 1995 to 2002. The main feature of the PT-91 is the Twardy protection using active armor developed by ERAWA. It has 394 blocks. They cover the front of the hull and the turret. These blocks are placed with virtually no gaps to each other. Tests have shown that ERAWA blocks increase tank protection by 30-70%, depending on the type of projectile.
