DxOMark specialists are expanding their capabilities and skills and will now test not only cameras

smartphones, but also evaluate their sound.

So, now in DxOMark’s field of view, in addition to the main and front cameras, speakers and microphones.

Assess the quality of sound recording and itsplayback will be based on the following parameters: timbre; dynamics, spatiality, loudness, artifacts, as well as background noise in the case of testing the quality of audio recording.

A special anechoic room has even been created for testing, and experts take into account various scenarios, including recording a selfie video, a street performance, a concert or a meeting.

DxOMark has even released the first rating of tested smartphones. True, there are only a few of them so far - only 7.

In first place is Huawei Mate 20 X (75 points),on the second iPhone XS Max (74), on the third iPhone 11 Pro Max (71), on the fourth Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ (66). Next are the Samsung Galaxy S10+ (65), Honor 20 Pro (53) and Sony Xperia 1 (45).
