Nubia Z50: 144Hz AMOLED display, Sony IMX787 sensor camera, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, starting at $430

Nubia, as promised, held an event in China where it presented its new flagship smartphone.

What is known

The new product was called Nubia Z50. The smartphone received 6.67-inch AMOLED display with curved edges, FHD+ resolution, 144 Hz refresh rate and built-in scanner. The screen supports 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, a contrast ratio of 3,000,000:1 and a peak brightness of 1000 nits.

The flagship is runningSnapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor paired with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. As for the cameras, there are three of them in the new product: the main one is 64 MP (Sony IMX787) + 50 MP (Samsung S5KJN1) and the front one is 16 MP (OmniVision OV16A1Q). The camera supports proprietary NeoVision algorithms. Nubia Z50 is powered by a 5000 mAh battery. It is charged using an 80W power supply. The smartphone comes with the Android 13 operating system and the proprietary MyOS 13 shell.

Price and when to wait

Nubia Z50 will go on sale on December 23, but for now only in China.
