Russians would switch to a domestic operating system for a computer

public opinion (VTsIOM) conducted a survey and found that almost half of Russians - 49% - would not mind switching to a domestic operating system for computers if one existed.

57% of respondents reported that it was positiverefer to plans to develop a Russian operating system. 45% of respondents even said that domestic programs inspire more confidence in them than foreign ones.

Among the reasons why Russians would switch todomestic “Windows”, named: patriotism and the desire to support the domestic manufacturer (29%), the opinion that Russian is better than foreign ones (13%), the desire to test Russian development (10%).

33% of respondents admitted that they would not change the operating system. Among them were mainly people aged 18-24 years (55%).

The survey involved 1,600 Russians aged 18 and over. It took place in the format of a telephone interview.
