NVIDIA will name the next graphics card architecture after the first female programmer

It looks like NVIDIA may delay the release of chips based on the Hopper architecture, which includes several crystals.

Instead, the company intends to release a new monolithic series called Lovelace. It is named after Ada Lovelace, a mathematician who is called the first computer programmer in history.

Sources say NVIDIA is primarilywill release video cards based on Lovelace architecture using a 5nm process technology. It's unclear who will produce the new GPU architecture. Both Samsung and TSMC are already capable of creating 5nm chips.

It is worth noting that Ada Lovelace has already appeared onT-shirt NVIDIA "Company of Heroes". The female mathematician was born in 1815. Lovelace wrote the world's first computer program and coined the terms "cycle" and "working cell".
