CD Projekt did not deny that it was working on multiplayer for Cyberpunk 2077, but it never made any promises to gamers.

The studio's official Twitter account posteda message that put an end to the issue of the online component. CD Projekt has confirmed that there will be multiplayer, but definitely not at launch. The studio plans to release Cyberpunk 2077 in April, then expand the game with a couple of free DLCs, and only then let gamers into multiplayer.
In an interview with Eurogamer, senior concept artistCD Projekt Martha Yonkers said that there is a team inside the studio that is working on online. The developers were looking for a way to “fit” multiplayer into Cyberpunk 2077 and, it seems, they found it. Now CD Projekt is looking for additional resources to develop a multiplayer mode and is calling on specialists to join the team.
