Officially: Germany will give Ukraine two MLRS MARS II and four self-propelled guns Panzerhaubitze 2000

confirmed that Ukraine will receive an additional batch of MARS II MLRS and Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled guns.

What is known

According to the president, we are talking about 2 jetsmultiple launch rocket systems and 4 self-propelled howitzers. The equipment should be delivered to the Armed Forces of Ukraine by the end of this year. That is, Ukraine will soon be armed with 22 Panzerhaubitze 2000 (14 from Germany and 8 from the Netherlands), as well as 5 MARS II MLRS. In addition, the APU also has 20 HIMARS and 6 M270.

PzH-2000 (Panzerhaubitze 2000) is a 155 mmself-propelled gun-howitzer, developed by the German concern Krauss-Maffei Wegmann. She was adopted by the Bundeswehr in the fall of 1998. It uses a 52 caliber (8 m) barrel, an automatic loading system with 60 rounds of ammunition, 228 modular propellant charges and a modern ground navigation system. The firing range of the Panzerhaubitze 2000 is 30-50 km (depending on the projectile).

Mars II is a European upgradeAmerican multiple launch rocket system M270. It is equipped with an updated fire control system from Airbus Defense and Space, which allows the use of missiles M31, M31A1, M32 and AT2. The firing range of Mars II is up to 70 km.
