On the moon, they found a place where the temperature is always comfortable for humans

The orbiter has discovered an area of the Moon where the temperature remains almost constant all year round and is suitable for

human life.

The lunar surface is not the most comfortable place for a person. It's a desert covered in sticky dust that cuts like fiberglass. Also on the moon, there are sharp temperature drops - between 127 ° C and -173 ° C.

A few years ago the lunar orbiterNASA (LRO) has discovered a shelter that future lunar explorers can use. These are deep holes on the surface that seem to lead down into the caves. They can be the size of entire cities.

These caves can help people shelter from radiation and bombardment by micrometeorites. New data shows they also have stable temperatures.

NASA scientists used data from Diviner toin particular, with his LRO thermal imaging camera to measure the temperature inside one of these places. This is a 100 m deep pit, which is located in the Mare Tranquilitatis region.

The team found that temperatures varied only slightly throughout the day. Usually it was around 17 °C.
