OnePlus Concept One with disappearing cameras and useful features

OnePlus will not announce the release of new flagships before March, but still the manufacturer has found an impressive

a way to start 2020 with renewed vigor. The company recently unveiled its first concept phone, OnePlus Concept One, at CES 2020 in Las Vegas.

Note that the main feature is that all those ugly cameras can finally be hidden. The OnePlus Concept One boasts what is called an "invisible camera". It took eight months to develop and use glass color changing technology (electrochromic glass), which had never been seen before in the world. This phone which includes organic particles to create changes in transparency.

The lens coating glass is opaqueblack surface when not in use, but can switch to full transparency in just 0.7 seconds after starting the camera application. For reference, this is faster than the camera itself requires for full activation.

Oneplus no need to worry about turning on tooa large number of cameras in future devices, since now they can be successfully hidden. However, the new technology also serves more practical purposes that can significantly improve camera perception.

OnePlus Concept One created in collaboration withMcLaren, it can use electrochromic glass as an integrated polarizing filter for the camera. This allows users to get clearer and more detailed images in high light conditions, such as in direct sunlight.

To further ensure that this phone is notmistaken for anything but a premium product, OnePlus cut the rest of the back panel out of the same leather specifically designed for use in the McLaren 720S.

The material is "soft to the touch." The skin itself is made in the UK, Ireland and Scotland.

As for the rest, the smartphone seems toidentical to OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren. The brand has equipped the Concept One with the same 6.7-inch 90Hz curved Fluid AMOLED display, which is paired with a pop-up camera module. The selfie camera has a resolution of 16 megapixels and the sensor comes with a triple camera setup on the back. It consists of a 48-megapixel main camera paired with laser autofocus, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle alternative.

The inside, on the other hand, consists of a Snapdragon 855+ combined with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of memory. There are also regular add-ons for Android 10 and OnePlus.

Unfortunately for those of you who may onlythat fell in love with this product, OnePlus has no plans to produce and sell it. It exists only to demonstrate new technologies that can be incorporated into next-generation flagships.

OnePlus, on the other hand, is working hard onthree phones that are due to appear in the coming months. The lineup will be led by OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro, which will be equipped with perforated displays and improved camera systems.

OnePlus 8 Lite should join them,the first mid-range brand product since the launch of the OnePlus X. For now, the details are scarce, but it is expected to include a three-camera setup and the Snapdragon 700 series chipset.
