Xiaomi announced the Redmi K30 Ultra smartphone last August, and is now preparing to release its successor.

According to insider @xiaomiui, a new productwill be called Redmi K40 Ultra. The device will compete with OnePlus Nord 2 and will be powered by the same MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor. Let us remember that this is a 6-nanometer SoC, which was announced in January. It has three Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.6 GHz, one Cortex-A78 core clocked at 3.0 GHz, and four Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz. The processor is equipped with a Mali G77 MC9 video accelerator and a built-in 5G modem.

Unfortunately, there are no other details about the Redmi K40No Ultra yet. Presumably it will be presented in the coming months. The device will be similar in appearance to other models in this line: Redmi K40, Redmi K40 Pro, Redmi K40 Pro+ and Redmi K40 Game Edition.

Let us remind you that Xiaomi plans to show the MIUI 13 shell in August. Together with it, the conceptual flagship Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 should debut.
