OnePlus Nord 2T announcement is a strange firstborn on Dimensity 1300

The presentation of OnePlus Nord 2T took place in the UK - one of the strangest smartphones of the brand in recent times

time:starting with the mysterious approach to the launch, when sales started long before the presentation, and ending with the asymmetrical design of the cameras and the level of improvements relative to the Nord 2. To be precise, there are only two technical improvements here, and one of them is extremely conditional: the Dimensity 1200 was replaced by the Dimensity 1300 (there are no architectural or frequency differences between the chips), and 65W charging was overclocked to 80W.

Otherwise, Nord 2T is still the same Nord 2,apparently showing poor sales due to its explosive reputation and lying in warehouses. The same body and chassis (which explains the strange design of the cameras), 6.43″ AMOLED screen (90 Hz), 50-megapixel main camera with OIS, 8-megapixel wide and 2-megapixel cover, as well as a 4500 mAh battery and even a volume mode switch on the end.

Even funnier, OnePlus bringsthe volume mode switch on the end as a feature that fans asked for (against the background of the recent OnePlus 10R). Another difference was the software base: out of the box, the newcomer runs OxygenOS 12.1 with Android 12 at the core. The price tags, fortunately, have not changed: €399 and €499 for the 8/128 and 12/256 GB versions. OnePlus Nord 2T will go on sale May 24th.
